The Children's Feeding Program in Malawi
This mission is carried out by the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian Women in Development Group. They provide at-risk Malawian children under the age of 5 monthly distributions of a high protein energy supplement. A child is considered rescued when they reach the normal weight-for-age range on the World Health Organization chart and maintain that weight for three months.
Lynn Gann in South India
Lynn serves as a bridge-builder between the Church of South India (CSI) and RCA churches, businesses, and individuals. As a CSI coworker, the mutual goal is to see the lives of Dalits and other poor in South India transformed to their full potential in the image of God: children will be filled with an outpouring of hope, families will find dignity by becoming self-reliant, and whole communities will be praising God. Specific goals are educating children at Geegh Nursery School and Hope English Medium School; and empowering people through the Give a Cow and Banyan Tree Tailoring programs and rural church development.
